Self-guided training

Learn BusinessVault AI in one short walkthrough.

This training explains what BusinessVault AI does, why it helps, how to upload documents, how to ask better questions, and how to review answers safely.

Chapter 1 of 9

What BusinessVault AI is

BusinessVault AI is a private document assistant that helps your team find answers from approved business files.

    Quick reference

    What employees should remember.

    Review before using

AI answers may be incomplete or incorrect. Check cited sources before legal, financial, medical, HR, compliance, or customer-facing decisions.

    Ask from documents

BusinessVault answers from uploaded files. If the file is not there, the answer may not be there.

    Use plain questions

Ask normal work questions: what is missing, what is due, what changed, who owns it, and what should happen next.

    Check citations

Review the source file and page or section before using an answer for important work.

    Enhanced answers

Some workspaces may use optional cloud-enhanced answers. Use them only when the business has approved that setting.

    Sensitive information

Only upload approved files. Do not upload sensitive, regulated, or unrelated customer records unless the business has approved the use case and safeguards.

    Best questions

    Examples that usually work well.

Summarize this file for a new employee.

What action items, deadlines, owners, or approvals are mentioned?

What information is missing before this can move forward?

Compare these two documents and tell me what changed.

Create a staff FAQ from these procedures.

What should we review before sending this to a customer?

    Safety habits

Use the assistant like a careful coworker, not a final authority.

Upload only documents your business has approved for the workspace.

Do not upload sensitive, regulated, or unrelated customer files unless a workspace admin has approved that use.

Examples of protected information include medical records, Social Security numbers, account numbers, tax records, legal matter details, employee discipline records, and private customer identifiers.

Do not rely on an answer without checking citations for important decisions.

Ask a more specific question when an answer is too broad, too vague, or missing the point.

Uploaded files are encrypted before storage. They are meant to be opened and searched through BusinessVault, not read directly from the storage system.

If enhanced answers are enabled, selected excerpts travel over an encrypted connection and common sensitive values may be redacted, but the cloud AI still receives readable text.

Tell a workspace admin when a document fails to upload, gives no answer, or appears outdated.

    Knowledge check

Confirm the most important habits before using the assistant.

This short check helps employees finish training with the right expectations: ask from approved documents, review citations, and report document issues.
